Ruby Marie Webb age 88 of Sturgis, Michigan went to be with her Lord and Savior early Easter Sunday morning April 16, 2017 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.
She was born February 7, 1929 in Goshen, Indiana daughter of the late Harvey and Edna Weirich.
Ruby resided in the Sturgis area most of her life and was a graduate of Shipshewana High School in Shipshewana, Indiana with the class of 1947.
She retired from J&J Discounts in Howe Indiana and had also worked at the Red Owl Lounge in Howe and the Kirsch Company and Freeman Manufacturing both in Sturgis.
She was a member of the Sturgis Missionary Church; the Super 60's and Visions a support group for the blind. For many years she cared for her daughter Cathy. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, reading, being at the lake and traveling and vacationing.
She is survived by three daughters: Christine (William) Morrow of Gladstone, Cathleen Webb of Sturgis and Diane Schrock of Sturgis; two sons: Gary (Sue) Hostetler of Davison and Tim (Donna) Hostetler of Howell; 11 grandchildren: Carolyn, Patrick (Michelle), William, Lee, Daniel, Cory, Courtney, David, Sarah (Allen), Scott (Jessica) and Nicole (Daniel); seven great grandchildren; special friends: Janet Davis and Betty Webb both of Sturgis and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and six brothers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Ruby Marie Webb will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Sturgis Missionary Church, 67087 N. M-66 in Sturgis. The Rev. Bob Renner will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Sturgis Memorial Gardens in Sturgis.
