Madeline Hill age 68 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Monday afternoon, May 15, 2017 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She was born February 7, 1949 in Ancoe, Knott County, Kentucky daughter of the late Willie and Pearlie (Jent) Singleton.
Madeline resided in Sturgis since 1965 coming from Kentucky.
She was a homemaker and was happiest when she was able to help others.
Madeline is survived by one daughter: Christine (John) Yeary of Sturgis; three sons: Greg (Meredith) Hill, Josh Hill and Charles Hill all of Sturgis; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters: Burnette Amburgey of Knoxville, Tennessee and Nellie Payton of Sturgis; one brother: Argus Singleton of Sturgis; special sister-in-law: Verna Singleton of Sturgis and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Carolyn King; three brothers: Carlie, Earl and Floyd Singleton.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M., Friday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa ST., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Madeline Hill begin at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Randy Poe will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Sturgis Memorial Gardens in Sturgis.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the Hackman Family Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 9, Sturgis, MI 49091 to help with expenses.
