Kevin Clyde Jones (KEBA), age 56, of Sturgis, MI, a proud member of the Miami Nation of Native Americans, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born May 1, 1960 in South Bend, Indiana, a son to Herbert Clyde and Donna (Smead) Jones.
Kevin spent most of his life in Sturgis, MI except for a few years he resided in Texas. He attended Sturgis High School, worked at many places in the area detailing cars, and had a great love for fishing and his native American culture.
Surviving are his mother: Donna Jones of Sturgis, MI; 1 brother: Christopher Jones of Kentucky; 4 sisters: Nancy (Jim) Stallard of Burr Oak, MI, Shannon (Scott) Jones of Sturgis, MI, Linda Hamilton of Illinois, and Charlan Hamilton-Jones of Sturgis, MI; several nieces and nephews including a close lifelong special relationship with Chase Jones; several cousins including close cousin and friend: James Jones.
He was preceded in death by his father: Herbert Jones and Step-father: Charles Jones.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Kevin Clyde Jones (KEBA) will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Memorial donations may be directed to the funeral home to help with expenses.
