Kelly Jean Gottschalk age 49 of Howe, Indiana passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born September 14, 1967 in Sturgis, Michigan daughter of Darryl and Sharon (Schrock) Gottschalk.
Kelly had resided in Howe since 1995 coming from Sturgis, Michigan where she was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class or 1986 and a member of the girls' softball team.
Kelly loved the time she was involved in Youth for Christ in Sturgis and especially enjoyed the white water rafting trip. She also enjoyed horseback riding, playing softball, music, watching football and NASCAR and loved fishing, especially with her dad.
She is survived by her mother: Sharon Snowden of Howe, Indiana; one brother: Darren (Lisa) Gottschalk of Sturgis; three step-brothers: Mike (Tammy) Snowden of Quincy, Steve (Debbie) Snowden of Kenton, Ohio and Jim (Mary) Snowden of Portage; one step-sister: Dee (Rob) Kesterke of Benton Harbor; her significant other: Mike Miller of Howe, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father: Darryl Gottschalk and one brother: Darryl Gottschalk, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Kelly Gottschalk will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
