James August Cobb age 56 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Sturgis Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born July 7, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan child number 6 of seven of the late Edsel and Lucille (Bison) Cobb.
Jim was the top of his class when he graduated from Burr Oak High School with the class of 1979.
He is survived by one brother: John (Patty) Cobb; two sisters: Beth (Kevin) Hopkins and Jane (Steve) Hice and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Diane Allen, two brothers: Dennis Cobb and Edsel Cobb and the love of his life: Christine Sheppard.
The will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor Jimmy's life will begin at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the home of Beth and Kevin Hopkins, 506 Center Ave. in Sturgis.
The Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331 is entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the family to help with expenses c/o: Beth Hopkins, 506 Center Ave., Sturgis, MI 49091.
