Gloria R. Marks age 78 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away peacefully Friday evening, April 14, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born November 17, 1938 in North Liberty, Indiana daughter of the late Kenneth A. and Sarah Elizabeth (Robison) Keyser.
Gloria resided in Sturgis since 1954 coming from Plymouth, Indiana and was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1956.
On June 16, 1956 she married Carl Marks in LaGrange, Indiana.
Gloria was a prayer warrior who dedicated her life to serving the Lord and doing his work. Her greatest joy in life was being the dedicated wife, mother and grandmother that she was. She truly loved time spent with her family and could always be found in attendance at the many sporting events and activities her children and grandchildren were involved in. She also loved going for rides with Carl throughout the area.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of nearly 61 years Carl; one daughter: Lori (Charles) Bennett of Sturgis; one son: Kenneth (Cheryl) Marks of Middlebury, Indiana; three grandchildren: Shawna Klotz of Elkhart, Indiana, Drew, Marks of Indianapolis, Indiana and Chad Bennett of Sturgis; one great grandchild: Fynley Klotz; three sisters: Lois LaMere of Pekin, Illinois, Sheila (Tom) McBride of Elkhart, Indiana and Mary Lecount of Elkhart, Indiana; two brothers: Jerry (Karen) Keyser of Sturgis and Wayne (Joyce) Keyser of Elkhart, Indiana; sister-in-law: Patricia Sutton of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Dolly "Dotty" Pike, Charlotte Craft and Bonnie Keyser and two brothers: William Keyser and Jimmy Keyser.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Gloria R. Marks will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Radiant Life Church, 907 N. Nottawa St. in Sturgis. The Rev. Ryan Bibb will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
