Frank Arthur Palmer age 67 of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Friday morning, March 3, 2017 at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Centreville, Michigan.
He was born June 10, 1949 in Battle Creek, Michigan son of the late Wayne and Gladys V. (Reed) Palmer.
Frank resided in the Sturgis and Burr Oak area for many years, with his early life being spent in Battle Creek.
He had been employed by the Sturgis Foundry and his last place of employment was with Summit Polymers in Sturgis. Frank enjoyed flower gardening and loved time spent with his family especially his grandchildren that he seemed to always be spoiling.
He is survived by four daughters: Karren (Mike) Kemp of Middlebury, Indiana, Loretta (Bill) Harter of Sturgis, Leoda (Salvador) Reyes of Bronson and Tammy Palmer of Burr Oak; one son: Frank (Joy) Palmer, Jr. of Sturgis; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Mary LeClear.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Frank A. Palmer will begin at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gregory Long of Grace Point Baptist Church of Sturgis will officiate. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow the service. Private burial of the ashes will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
Memorial donation would be appreciated to the family.
